Early in the day, skiers may trigger slab avalanches in fresh new‑snow slabs in some exposed slopes. As the day progresses, the slabs stabilize, but warm temperatures and sunshine increase the risk of wet loose snow avalanches, especially in areas with fresh snow and on sun‑exposed slopes.

Tidlig på dagen kan skiløpere løse ut flakskred i ferske nysnøflak i enkelte utsatte heng. Utover dagen stabiliseres flakene, men varme og sol øker faren for våte løssnøskred, særlig i områder med nysnø og i solvendte fjellsider.
Snøgrensen ligger på 200–300 moh, lavest kystnært og i sørvendt terreng. I de fleste eksponeringer er snøen grovkornet og smelteomvandlet ned til bakken. I nordvendte eksponeringer over 1000 moh finnes tørr, lagdelt snø. Svake lag dypere i snødekket kan ikke utelukkes, og kan potensielt løses ut ved skavlbrudd eller kraftig oppvarming.
Rising temperatures, strong daytime sunshine and evening rain increase the danger of wet loose snow avalanches. At lower elevations, solar warming may still trigger avalanches in very steep terrain.
At higher elevations, areas with recent new snow are most vulnerable when the snow becomes wet. In the inner parts of the region, precipitation falls as snow above about 1000 m a.s.l., and light gale‑force winds will form fresh wind slabs in north‑west and west‑facing lee areas.
