Forecast Snow Stability: Good stability. Patchy, isothermal snowpack. Main accumulations on North to East aspects above 850m and favoured snow-holding areas on high plateaus. Ribbons of old snow down to 750m in selected steep gullies. Large quantities of thawing ice on the Post Face of Coire Ardair. Rockfall in close proximity to crags a potential objective hazard. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: Dry. Cooler temperatures. Observed Weather Influences: Generally dry but with occasional, brief, light rain showers. Mild at all elevations. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability. Very patchy, moist, isothermal snowpack. Some residual cornices over North to East aspects. Recent cornice debris noted on a steep North aspect in Coire Ardair. Evidence of recent rockfall in several places in upper Coire Ardair. Wet, thawing ice on some steep crags. The avalanche hazard is Low.
