Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to consolidate and stability will be generally good. Very isolated and shallow areas of windslab will be present in sheltered locations mainly on South-West through West to North aspects above 950 metres. Some fragile cornices will be present, mainly above these aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: There will be very strong Easterly winds. Mainly dry with isolated showers falling as snow above 300 metres. The freezing level will drop to around 400 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Occasional very light showers falling as snow above 800 metres. Moderate South-Easterly winds. The freezing level was around 950 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack continues to consolidate and stability is generally good. Very isolated and shallow areas of windslab are present in sheltered locations mainly on West to North aspects above 950 metres. Some fragile cornices are present, mainly above these aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
