Above approximately 1000 m snow fell yesterday. As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong northeasterly wind, sometimes deep wind slabs formed in particular on southwest, south and southeast facing slopes. In particular sunny slopes as well as adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls: New snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in all aspects and generally above the tree line. Careful route selection and spacing between individuals are recommended.

In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas and high altitudes and the high Alpine regions: In the last four days hard wind slabs formed. In particular sunny slopes low and intermediate altitudes: The old snowpack is hard and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. In the areas described above, the new wind slabs will bond poorly with the old snowpack.
