Strong westerly winds and fresh snow formed potentially dangerous slabs at higher elevations. Look for denser snow to accumulate below ridges or along the sides of cross-loaded gullies. Northeast to east to southeast aspects will be the most likely places to find this new problem and trigger a slide. Though less likely, this new load could reawaken deeper weak layers, creating even larger avalanches. Avoiding wind-loaded areas will help keep you safe.
