Inversions overnight have been variable, with low temperatures from below freezing up to the mid 40's throughout the forecast region above 7500'. Clear skies overnight will again allow for radiational cooling of the snow surface with another decent refreeze expected this morning. More supportable snow with better travel conditions will be expected in the morning hours. As these surface melt-freeze crusts lose strength and melt away, deeper unsupportable wet snow will be exposed.
Roller balls and pinwheels will be indicators that wet unstable snow is forming. Wet loose avalanches have been limited over the last week and small in size-this is expected to continue for today. If the snow becomes deep and wet, it will be time to move to a different aspect or move away from avalanche terrain. Use caution if traveling in steeper terrain where small wet loose avalanches could take you into terrain traps such as rocks, trees, or over cliffs.
