Wet snow· Vormittag
- Above 1,400 m
A clear night will be followed in the early morning by favourable avalanche conditions mostly, but the danger of wet avalanches will increase later. As a consequence of sharply falling temperatures and snowfall and the wind, fresh snow drift accumulations will form from the middle of the day.
A clear night will be followed in the early morning by favourable avalanche conditions mostly, but the danger of wet avalanches will increase later. As a consequence of sharply falling temperatures and snowfall and the wind, fresh snow drift accumulations will form from the middle of the day.
In the late morning the likelihood of wet avalanches being released will increase gradually in all regions. Gliding avalanches can also occur. The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs that are forming over a wide area must be evaluated with care and prudence. This applies in particular in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation. In all aspects medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large avalanches are possible. Avalanches can be released, in particular by large loads. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in all aspects.
The weather conditions in the late morning will give rise to significant moistening of the snowpack. As a consequence of new snow and wind, wind slabs will form from the middle of the day. The new snow and wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack in many places. In many places there is a danger of falling on the hard crust.
The weather will be cold over a wide area.
