The general avalanche hazard is LOW. Mostly stable snow exist, however wet loose slides are possible in areas that receive significant rainfall.

Scattered showers will continue overnight before intensifying during the day on Tuesday. Mountain locations, where temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 20s, could see 6 to 12 inches of new snow by Tuesday evening. Rain will be more likely in valley locations, which will dip to near freezing over night before rising into the low 40s during the day. Ridgetop winds are expected to back to the south at 10 to 20 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW Tuesday morning, and could rise to MODERATE above 9,000 feet during the day as new snow accumulates on slick crusts. Backcountry travelers venturing into very steep, upper elevation, wind-loaded avalanche terrain could trigger soft slabs up to a foot deep. These slabs, along with loose snow sluffs, will increase in depth and extent as the day progresses.
