Avalanche Summary

Despite the warm temperatures, increasing cloud cover and wind keep snow surfaces from warming too quickly. Get an early start, and you can expect mostly safe avalanche conditions on Saturday. Later in the day, if you find localized spots where you punch through crusts in the upper snowpack, avoid similar slopes nearby steeper than about 40 degrees.
