( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy on Thursday, and a chance for light, scattered snow showers will continue. Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the single digits before rising into the mid to upper teens during the day. Northwesterly ridgetop winds will range from 15 to 25 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW on Thursday. In very steep, wind-loaded terrain above 7,500 feet, backcountry travelers might be able to trigger an isolated pocket of shallow wind slab six to twelve inches in depth. The snowpack is mostly stable below 7,500 feet and avalanches are unlikely.
