Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. The only place where you can trigger an avalanche is a wind-drifted terrain feature with hard drifts of snow. Look for rounded pillows of snow, and avoid areas where the snowpack sounds "drummy". If you see drifts like this, go around them or choose a different slope.
