New slabs of 1 to 3 feet in depth have been deposited over the last three days at mid and upper elevations. Human triggered slides to two feet in depth have been common with skiers getting caught.The potential depth of these slides will increase through the day. Fragile layers of surface hoar, near surface faceted crystals and sun crusts formed during the last dry period in early February. To date over four and one half inches of moisture and four feet of snow have been deposited on these excellent sliding surfaces. Highways will be impacted.
