The snowpack remains generally stable. As a consequence of the new snow small moist snow slides are possible as the day progresses, in the event of solar radiation in particular on very steep sunny slopes. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in very isolated cases. These avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on extremely steep shady slopes above approximately 2400 m and at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack.

In some regions 2 to 5 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall above approximately 2200 m. This snow will be deposited on surface hoar in particular on shady slopes. Towards its surface, the snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a melt-freeze crust that is strong in many cases. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling here. Especially steep shady slopes high altitudes and the high Alpine regions: Snow that is very compacted on the surface and stabilised by the stormy winds at the end of February, or composed of faceted crystals and, locally, snow with weak cohesion and surface frost. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack here. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas as well as at high altitude snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.

The weather will be sunny. Slight increase in danger of moist and wet avalanches as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. This applies on very steep sunny slopes below approximately 2700 m.
