Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of the precipitation the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase. Without question, it is inadvisable to engage in backcountry touring.

Over a wide area snowfall. The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs represent the main danger. This applies in particular in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation. In all aspects large to very large avalanches are possible. The new snow and wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in all aspects. In addition the barely recognisable wind slabs should be taken into account.

Snowpack Structure

The fresh snow as well as the large wind slabs remain for the foreseeable future prone to triggering. Weak layers exist in the snowpack. The weather conditions will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack.

Tendency

The weather will be partly cloudy.
