Gliding snow requires caution.
A latent danger of gliding avalanches exists. This applies on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2600 m. Avalanches can reach medium size. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided. The fresh wind slabs are mostly small and can only be released in isolated cases. Caution is to be exercised in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2200 m. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.
Up to 10 cm of snow will fall until the evening above approximately 1200 m. The wind will be strong in some cases. Fresh wind slabs are lying on soft layers in particular on shady slopes at elevated altitudes.
The avalanche conditions are favourable.
