Snowpack Structure
The sometimes strong wind has transported the new snow. The fresh wind slabs have formed in particular adjacent to ridgelines on west, southwest and south facing slopes. As a consequence of low temperatures the snowpack can settle hardly at all.
Avalanche Activity
Wind slabs above approximately 1200 m.
On very steep slopes individual dry avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small.
