Avalanche Activity

New snow and wind slabs.

As a consequence of new snow and strong wind individual dry avalanches are possible as the day progresses, but they will be mostly small.

Snowpack Structure

Wind and new snow above approximately 1000 m. The sometimes strong wind will transport the new snow. In the afternoon mostly small wind slabs will form in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The fresh wind slabs will form in particular adjacent to ridgelines on west, southwest and south facing slopes.
