In particular on very steep sunny slopes and in steep rocky terrain mostly small moist avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation, in particular below approximately 2700 m. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls. The wind slabs of the last three days have bonded quite well with the old snowpack in particular on sunny slopes. These can in isolated cases be released by a single winter sport participant, but they will be small in most cases, especially on very steep slopes. They are clearly recognisable. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls.
20 to 30 cm of snow fell on Friday above approximately 2200 m. New snow is lying on a hard crust. The wind has transported the new snow. The cold fresh snow of Friday and the mostly small wind slabs have bonded quite well with the old snowpack. The old snowpack is well consolidated. Only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year in all altitude zones. On sunny slopes below approximately 2500 m from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. Faceted weak layers exist in the old snowpack especially on shady slopes.
The avalanche danger will persist.
