No distinct avalanche problem

Snowpack
Avalanches may still be triggered in dry snow, primarily in the high Alpine regions and especially on steep north-facing slopes. The old snowpack is water-saturated on southern slopes up to the high Alpine regions and on eastern and western slopes up to around 3000 m. On northern slopes, most of the old snowpack is water-saturated up to between 2600 and 2800 m. Large wet avalanches may still occur at these altitudes because some weak layers deep in the snowpack are still dry and will become significantly less stable when they first become saturated.
After a mostly clear night, the surface of the snowpack will be stable above around 2200 m early on Wednesday morning. Over the course of the morning, it will soften rapidly in the sunshine and rising temperatures and the risk of wet avalanches will increase.

Outlook
Conditions will be mainly clear overnight to Thursday and Friday. There will be sunshine each day and, in the afternoons, cumulus clouds will develop and there may be showers. The zero-degree level will be between 3300 and 3600 m. Winds will mainly be light.
The risk of dry avalanches will continue to decrease. The risk of wet avalanches will increase significantly over the course of each day. Ski touring should be started very early and finished early.
