Kernpunkte

The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs represent the main danger.

Avalanche Activity

The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs represent the main danger.

The northwesterly wind will transport the new snow significantly. The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs that are forming above all adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls are bonding poorly with the old snowpack. Small and medium-sized natural avalanches are possible. Wind slabs can in isolated cases be released, even by a single winter sport participant. Large-grained weak layers exist in the old snowpack on near-ridge shady slopes. Weak layers in the lower part of the snowpack can be released in very isolated cases by people here.

Snowpack Structure

The new snow and wind slabs of yesterday are lying on a crust in all aspects. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes. In all altitude zones only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

Tendency

The northwesterly wind will transport the new snow. On steep slopes and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls the avalanche danger is a little higher.
