Fresh snow and moderate wind will build wind slabs today.  Expect wind slabs on slopes lee of the west wind and wherever you see pillows, drifts, or cornices.  If you see the wind depositing snow on a slope or wind-sculpted features choose terrain less than 30 degrees.

The excellent conditions found in the Elkhorns the past few days will change today, New slabs will build and snow from the last storm will be redistributed. Watch for the wind-blowing snow as the storm progresses today and avoid the slopes that the snow is landing on if they are steeper than 30 degrees.
