The avalanche danger is controlled by overnight refreezing and solar radiation. Where the snowpack has refrozen or cloud cover limits warming, the surface is hard and conditions are generally stable, but with increased risk of slipping. Without overnight frost, or when the sun breaks through, the snow softens rapidly and the avalanche danger increases, especially in steep south-facing terrain.
At higher elevations, the status of persistent weak layers high in the snowpack is uncertain. Pay attention to whether there are overlying slabs present and whether these soften during the day. This would increase the likelihood of triggering the faceted layer.

Skredfaren styres av nattefrost og sol. Der snødekket har frosset til, eller skydekke hindrer oppvarming, er forholdene stabile. Samtidig er det økt fare for utglidning. Når nattefrost uteblir eller sola tar, mykner snøen raskt. Da øker skredfaren, særlig i bratte solvendte heng.
I høyden er status for vedvarende kantkornlag høyt i snødekket usikker. Dersom overliggende flak mykner opp i løpet av dagen, øker sannsynligheten for å påvirke laget.
Snøoverflaten er i stor grad preget av mildvær, også høyt til fjells. Der det har vært nattefrost er snøen hard og stedvis isete om formiddagen, før solvendte heng mykner opp og gir våt og myk snøoverflate utover dagen. I skyggesider og i høyden er snøen fastere, med tørr skare eller fokksnø. Over ca. 800 moh finnes det fortsatt vedvarende svake lag av kantkorn. Status til nedføyket kantkorn som er observert forrige uke i nordvendt terreng er noe usikkert. Dypere kantkornlag ved skare er svært vanskelig å løse ut.

Keep a safe distance to cornices.
In north-facing terrain on the highest peaks, it cannot be ruled out that weak layers still exist in the dry snow that may be triggered. However, the distribution of this avalanche problem is expected to be very limited.
