Forecast Snow Stability: The remaining snowpack will continue to slowly thaw and diminish at all elevations becoming increasingly soft and wet. Stability will be generally good. Largest continuous snow areas will be on North-West through North to East aspects above around 870 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: Mainly dry overnight and through the morning. A period of patchy rain around the middle of the day only falling as sleet on the highest summits. Southerly winds will be fresh to strong. Observed Weather Influences: Dry and overcast with cloudy summits and some brighter intervals. Moderate South-Easterly winds with the freezing level around the highest summits. ObservedSnowStability: The generally firm and stable snowpack is beginning to thaw at all elevations resulting in a thin surface layer of soft wet snow. Largest continuous snow areas remain on North-West through North to East aspects above around 870 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
