The wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases in all aspects above approximately 1600 m. At transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, when entering gullies and bowls for example the likelihood of avalanches being released is greater. Small and medium-sized avalanches are possible. In many places there is a danger of falling on the icy crust.
In some places wind slabs are lying on an icy crust. In addition wind slabs formed in all aspects. Weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack on shady slopes.
In some regions wind and new snow.
