As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong wind, wind slabs will form especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The new snow and wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases above approximately 2200 m. The avalanche prone locations are to be found especially in steep terrain and at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack. Avalanches can in isolated cases be triggered in the old snowpack and reach quite a large size. As the day progresses in these regions there will be only a slight increase in the danger of moist and wet avalanches. In the event of rain this applies in particular at low altitude.

The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust will soften during the day. The spring-like weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes.
