The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE and will rise to CONSIDERABLE in the afternoon. Surface slabs up to two feet deep lie upon hard crusts and could be triggered on very steep wind loaded slopes. Increasing temperatures and sunlight will weaken these slabs, making them more sensitive to triggering as the day progresses as well as increasing the potential for shallow wet loose and deeper wet slab avalanches to release spontaneously.
