Generally safe avalanche conditions exist due to this year's historically shallow and patchy snowpack. Still, anytime there is snow on the mountains, it's possible to trigger a small avalanche in extreme terrain. Very strong winds in the coming days could form small drifts in the alpine. Any avalanches will generally be small and harmless unless you trigger one in very steep, rocky, consequential terrain.
