Kernpunkte
A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail. Fresh wind slabs require caution.
Avalanche Activity
A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail. Fresh wind slabs require caution.
The fresh wind slabs can in very isolated cases be released by a single winter sport participant, but they will be small in most cases. Such avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines at elevated altitudes. They are easy to recognise. On steep grassy slopes small to medium-sized gliding avalanches are possible. This applies in particular in the west and below approximately 2400 m.
Snowpack Structure
Less snow than expected has fallen. The small wind slabs are lying on soft layers in particular on steep shady slopes. The snowpack will be moist at low and intermediate altitudes.
Tendency
A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail.
