Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to thaw as the freezing level rises above the summits. Some minor wet snow instabilities will linger where the snow has gained any depth for example, ridge flanks and the tops of gullies. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: There will be intermittent rain and light snow showers overnight, before turning to heavier rain for the rest of the period. The strong West-North-West winds will ease overnight becoming fresh to strong West-South-Westerly later. The freezing level will gradually rise from 800 metres to above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: After heavy rain showers overnight there was some very light snowfall above 900 metres later. Winds were strong West-North-Westerly, the freezing level gradually lowered to 900 metres by the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: All the new snow has thawed in the current mild conditions. Any remaining snow is wet and generally stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
