  • Wind Slabs

    • Hochgebirge
    • Waldgrenze
    • Unterhalb der Waldgrenze
    Wahrscheinlichkeit
    Possible - Likely
    Größe
    1–2

Moderate to Strong SW winds created fresh wind slabs. These new wind slabs sit over a variety of firm surfaces including wind effected snow and sun/temperature crusts. Expect the reactivity to increase as temperatures increase during the day.

  • Loose Dry

    • Waldgrenze
    • Unterhalb der Waldgrenze
    Wahrscheinlichkeit
    Likely
    Größe
    1–1.5

Wind sheltered terrain will have 10-15 cm of dry snow sitting over pervious firm surfaces. Expect small, loose dry avalanches in steep sheltered terrain.

  • Loose Wet

    • Waldgrenze
    • Unterhalb der Waldgrenze
