Stormy overnight with 10 to 20 cm of snow by midday then clearing in the afternoon. 30 km/h southeast ridgetop wind. Treeline temperature -2 °C with freezing level climbing to 1300 m.

Terrain and Travel Advice

  • Watch for wind-loaded pockets especially around ridgecrest and in extreme terrain.
  • Wind slabs may be poorly bonded to the underlying crust.
  • When a thick, melt-freeze surface crust is present, avalanche activity is unlikely.
