Kernpunkte

Changes in wind direction, and locally Moderate wind with blowing snow means that Wind Slab avlanches will continue to be possible on Monday.  These avalanches could exist on unusual slopes at upper elevations and your best clues will be signs of blowing snow on specific features.  Blowing snow is most likely in terrain that funnels or increases the wind speed.

The Wind Slab problem was a bit fickle on Sunday, and that trend will continue into Monday.  Many areas saw Calm conditions or Light wind on Sunday.  Other stations are reporting Moderate winds and Strong gusts from the North, East, and SouthEast.  As a result Wind Slabs were a very local problem on specific features, and then completely non-existent on other slopes.

On Monday the wind will shift back to the SouthWest.  With minimal snow in the forecast, your best tool for evaluating potential wind slabs will be locally blowing snow.  I expect that any avalanche activity will exist on these specific slopes.
