Snowpack Structure

The snow cover is more continuous only in the highest altitudes of the Tatra Mountains, usually above 2000 m above sea level and especially in terrain depressions, in troughs and in the valleys of the Tatra valleys. The snow is frozen in the morning and turns very wet during the day. Its height decreases significantly day by day.
