On wind-loaded slopes dry slab avalanches are possible, even medium-sized ones. Avalanches can be released, even by small loads in isolated cases.

The snowpack remains subject to considerable local variations. The strong wind has transported a lot of snow. In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls sometimes deep wind slabs formed. In some places wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. Some fresh snow and in particular the wind slabs that are forming adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls represent the main danger.
