Kernpunkte

Significant avalanche activity is unlikely on Monday, since cooling temperatures will mean less melting snow.  Remember that Low avalanche hazard doesn't mean no avalanche hazard, and it still makes sense to use safe travel techniques, and watch for instablities on isolated terrain features.

I'll keep Wet Loose avalanches on the problem list, but just barely.  The only avalanche activity I've seen in the past few days have been on very steep sunny slopes and specifically near rocks and cliff bands.  With even cooler temperatures on Monday, Wet Loose avalanches are unlikely.  It will be sunny, and during this time of year the sun is the best melter of snow.  Any Wet Loose avalanches will be very small and confined to isolated terrain features.

Avalanche Discussion

Sunday saw a continuation of our springtime melt/freeze cycle.  Monday will be cooler, and we won't see as much widespread melting.  The lack of new snow means that we can continue our good corn skiing  into next week.
