Generally, safe avalanche conditions exist. Natural and human-triggered avalanches are unlikely today. Cooler temperatures have helped freeze, and strengthen the upper snowpack.

The snow surface has been locking up good enough to give snowmobiles a challenge to stay cool in the mornings on the trail.  Afternoon temps, as well as a dirt layer in the upper foot of the snowpack, and the sun have been doing a good enough job of softening the upper snow surface for travel, and skiing on solar aspects, but not enough to be much of a contribution to an avalanche problem. 

You would have a hard time getting snow to slide today unless the Sun keeps all of the clouds away, and thus proves the weather forecasters wrong....even then, wet-loose avalanches are unlikely given the cooler forecast. If the sun stays out, your best chance of triggering a wet-loose avalanche would be on steep Southwest and West aspects later in the day (1 pm-7 pm).

Avalanche danger is non-existent to very low today. Enjoy the low hazard this weekend, but be ready if the forecasted weather for Sunday night and Monday holds true, we could have up to a foot of new snow in our mountains with strong, gusty winds, and likely another dirt layer from the dust kicked up in the nearby desert lowlands.
