The backcountry touring conditions are spring-like.
As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation individual small moist and wet avalanches are possible above approximately 2500 m. Backcountry tours, off-piste skiing and ascents to alpine cabins should be started and concluded early. Below approximately 2500 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
The snowpack will be generally moist. The old snowpack will be stable over a wide area. The meteorological conditions will bring about a weakening of the near-surface layers in the afternoon in particular on very steep sunny slopes. Below approximately 2500 m only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. At low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
The danger of moist avalanches will increase during the day.
