Avalanche Activity

The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the field, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.

The wind slabs of the last few days represent the main danger. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and in steep rocky terrain. As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of moist and wet avalanches being released will increase gradually in particular on steep sunny slopes, this applies in particular in case of a large load.

Snowpack Structure

The meteorological conditions will cause a weakening of the snowpack on steep sunny slopes. In some regions from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.

Tendency

The weather will be very mild.
