Salt River and Wyoming Ranges

The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW this morning and will increase to MODERATE this afternoon. Warm temperatures yesterday and sunshine, followed by overnight temperatures below freezing have resulted in a surface crust and a stable snow pack this morning. As warming softens this crust and weakens the surface wet slides may become possible this afternoon and shallow surface slabs could be triggered on steep terrain at upper elevations where crusts are not as well developed.
