Forecast Snow Stability: The limited snowpack, which mainly exists in the higher North and East facing corries will be firm on the highest slopes initially, softening through the day as temperatures rise. Snowpack stability will be generally good throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry conditions will affect the area overnight and through Tuesday. Winds will be generally Southerly, fresh occasionally strong. Summit temperatures will be around -1 centigrade initially, rising to + 1 through the course of the day. Observed Weather Influences: Clear conditions affected the area overnight when summit temperatures were in the region of -1.5 Centigrade. It has become partially cloudy today with sunny spells and a fresh South-Easterly wind. Summit temperatures have risen to + 2 Centigrade. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack, which is mainly to be found in the higher North and East facing corries, is moist with generally good stability. A degree of firming initially occurred on the highest slopes, softening later with rising daytime temperatures. The avalanche hazard is Low.
