Up to 2100 m rain will fall from late morning. As the moisture increases medium-sized and large moist and wet avalanches are to be expected, especially at low and intermediate altitudes. Wet avalanches can reach a long way in particular in steep gullies. As a consequence of the precipitation the size of the avalanche prone locations will increase in the late morning. In particular on very steep slopes the avalanches can release the moist old snow as well and reach quite a large size. This applies in particular at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. The fresh snow and the sometimes large wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant. The avalanche prone locations are barely recognisable because of the poor visibility.

Over a wide area 30 to 40 cm of snow, but less in some localities, will fall above approximately 2500 m. The southeasterly wind will transport the snow. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded poorly with the old snowpack. Intensive rain to intermediate altitudes: The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack.
