The wind slabs of the last few days can still be released above approximately 2500 m. Mostly the avalanches are medium-sized but can be released also by a single winter sport participant. Gradual increase in danger of wet avalanches as a consequence of warming during the day. Avalanches are possible as the day progresses, but they can be large in isolated cases. In the event of solar radiation this applies in particular on rocky slopes. Backcountry tours, off-piste skiing and ascents to alpine cabins should be started early and concluded timely.
In some regions 20 to 30 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen. In particular at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions there is still a very large amount of snow. The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. The spring-like weather conditions will give rise to rapid settling of the snowpack in particular at low and intermediate altitudes.
The weather will be very mild.
