Snow and Weather

General Conditions: I could hardly believe it when I woke up and saw some white stuff out in my front yard. Then I remembered it's actually winter and this stuff called "snow" does fall from the sky. Up in the mountains, about 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulated overnight.

24hr Snow:

  • Fairview Canyon - trace to 1"
  • Ephraim Canyon - 3"
  • 12 Mile Canyon - 2"

Wind is calm to light from the west. Temperatures have dropped into the mid teens.

Mountain Weather:

The chances for snow are basically over and skies will start to clear out later on today. It looks like temperatures will stay in the teens then drop into the single digits tonight. Wind will be light from the northwest. We have a couple of cold days ahead then temperatures moderate a bit as the ridge of high pressure once again takes a stranglehold on the Western US. No significant storms are in sight.
