The snowpack appears stable and is expected to tolerate some rain Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. Above about 800 m a.s.l., precipitation will fall as snow and may lead to the formation of fresh wind slabs in some east‑facing lee features. Relatively favorable temperatures will contribute to rapid stabilization. Nevertheless, wet loose snow avalanches may occur where the snow surface becomes wet and soft for the first time.

Snødekket framstår som stabilt og vil tåle noe regn tirsdag kveld og onsdag morgen. Over ca. 800 moh kommer nedbøren som snø og kan gi dannelse av ferske fokksnøflak i enkelte østvendte leformasjoner. Relativt gunstige temperaturer vil bidra til rask stabilisering. Men våte løssnøskred kan forekomme der snøoverflaten for første gang blir fuktig og myk.

Snowpack Structure

Snødekket er stort sett smelteomvandlet og stabilt helt ned til bakken. Mange steder er snøen nå bare flekkvis til stede, særlig i sørvendt terreng og i lavereliggende områder mot havnivå.
