Forecast Snow Stability: Additional weak windslab will build on steep North-East to South aspects above 750m. Many of these locations are underlain by cold induced weak layers. Fragile cornices overhang steeper lee slopes. Better stability on ridge crests and wind exposed locations scoured down to a firm crust. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable

Fresh North West winds. Drifting snow during and after showers until early afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: Poor stability where new windslab has accumulated on steep North-East through East to South aspects above 750m. Deeper instability still present near the base of the snowpack and is overlain by denser layers. Weak cornices present over all steep recent lee slopes.
