Forecast Snow Stability: Generally shallow and stable snow cover on all aspects and elevations above 300 metres. However, deeper drifts will persist mainly on North-East to South-East aspects with moderately bonded windslab in steep localised areas same aspects, mostly above 650 metres. Fresh isolated pockets of windslab possible on steep West to North aspects above 800 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry overnight, followed by a fine day with the possibility of an isolated light snow shower. The wind will be light to moderate, generally Southerly through the day. The freezing level will gradually rise from 400 metres overnight to around 600 metres by the end of the forecast period. Observed Weather Influences: Slow moving scattered snow showers drifting on an Easterly breeze, mostly confined to the inland mountains. Freezing level at glen level initially, rising to around 450 metres at midday. ObservedSnowStability: There is a relatively shallow and stable snow cover on all aspects, main snowline around 300m. Deeper drifts exist mainly on NE to SE aspects with moderately bonded windslab in steep localised areas same aspects, mostly above 650 metres.
