The sometimes strong wind has transported the new snow. In some places sometimes avalanche prone wind slabs formed. The fresh and older wind slabs represent the main danger. Avalanches can be released in near-surface layers, even by a single winter sport participant. This applies in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls, and on very steep slopes. The avalanche prone locations are barely recognisable because of the poor visibility. On very steep slopes dry loose snow avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small. In addition further individual small dry slab avalanches are possible.

In some localities up to 10 cm of snow fell yesterday above approximately 2200 m. 10 cm of snow will fall until Thursday above approximately 2300 m. The sometimes strong wind has transported some snow. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. The new snow of Wednesday will be deposited on soft layers in all aspects above approximately 2300 m. The weather will be cold. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack in shady places that are protected from the wind, especially above approximately 2300 m.

The avalanche danger will persist.
