Isolated wet snow avalanches!

The avalanche risk is predominantly low. Sporadic spontaneous wet snow avalanches are possible from unloaded steep slopes. There are still isolated avalanche prone locations on shady slopes in steep terrain where slab avalanches can be triggered by large additional loads.

The snowpack firms overnight, is initially crusted can form or moist up to high altitudes, and is also soaked on sunny slopes. The snow base, fundament is occasionally weakened on the north side and at higher elevations due to the kinetic metamorphism. Medium and low altitudes are bare.

The mainly friendly mountain weather will continue on Sunday. A few harmless, high clouds will pass through during the day. Sahara dust is still an issue, visibility is hazy. Weak southerly wind. At 1500 metres around 6 degrees, at 2000 metres around 3 degrees. On Monday, dense clouds and short sunny spells will alternate. Visibility will therefore change: In the morning, visibility will be mostly limited, sunny spells will become more frequent in the afternoon. A noticeable southerly wind will blow at first. Temperatures at 1500 metres will be around 4 degrees, at 2000 metres around 1 degree.
