Isolated pockets of wind slab up to a foot deep lie upon weak layers of faceted snow and hard old snow surfaces. These shallow slabs could be triggered by humans who venture into very steep, higher elevation avalanche starting zones.

Skies will be cloudy with widespread light snowfall through Thursday. Several inches of accumulation are possible at the highest elevations, especially on favored western and northern slopes.
