Generally, safe avalanche conditions exist in the Flat Top Mountains. Look for and avoid deeper wind-drifted snow in steeper terrain. You will likely find these pockets of unstable snow below ridgelines at higher elevations in steep, unsupported terrain. If this snow supports your weight, cracks, or collapses, consider avoiding it or move to lower-angle slopes.
